The Science

Desmosphyrine inhibits the matrix metalloproteinase from digesting the collagen of epidermal/dermal bonds by using superoxide dismutase. Desmosphyrine can minimize and prevent oxidative stress from damaging the lamina during the acute phase of laminitis. The desmosomal bonds of the lamina stay intact and strong.
